Important Information About Paws 4 A Cure Financial Assistance

  • Paws 4 A Cure cannot assist with any charges incurred prior to the approval of an application.
  • You must be a resident of the United States, and the treating veterinary practice must also be located within the United States.

  • A diagnosis and treatment plan are required before applying for assistance.

  • Paws 4 A Cure does not pay for treatment in advance and cannot pay a deposit.
  • We do not reimburse applicants for any payments already made to a veterinary provider.

  • If you have CareCredit or ScratchPay, you must use those resources first. Paws 4 A Cure cannot reimburse for payments made using these or other financing tools.
  • If approved, Paws 4 A Cure will pay up to the approved grant amount only. If the balance is less than the grant amount, only the amount owed will be paid—not the full grant.
  • Payments are made directly to the veterinary practice, clinic, or hospital. No payments are made to the applicant under any circumstance.

  • We cannot pay an invoice showing a zero balance.

  • Payments are not made over the phone, including for purposes of pet discharge.

  • The veterinary practice must email an itemized invoice to [email protected] or fax it to (866) 799-5166 after treatment is performed.

  • Payment will be processed through Bank of America Bill Pay within one week of receiving the invoice. A confirmation email with the payment tracking number and estimated delivery date will be sent to the veterinary practice. Payments typically arrive within one week, unless delayed by holidays or postal issues.
